SNEEZY: He needs to get to the USA ASAP!

Sneezy has met his goal.  We had 2 checks that finished him so he is hopefully headed West to the USA very soon!

From a special person who cares for these animals....

I woke up at 3 am and decided i HAVE to send sneezy to the states. he is a very beloved dog of an american soldier who has been at the shelter for a month. he is sweet and loving but he has a terrible infection on his nose that makes him look very deformed and makes it hard for him to breathe. we are treating him the best we can but we cannot cure him. i want to send him to my vet in the states. once you see him it will break your heart. this one is hard to "market" because of his deformity, but he is the sweetest dog i have ever met and i do not think he will make it through the winter in Afghanistan. the soldier can pay $1000 and i told him i would try to raise the rest...
This soldier is desperate to save his dog, Sneezy has been his buddy in arms and we NEED to get Sneezy to the states to take care of his nose infection. Please, please help Sneezy get home. We need to raise $2000.00 as QUICKLY as possible...this baby HAS to come home......thank you to all of you.

Sadie~She keeps her Soldiers Happy & Warm

"It's so funny how something as simple as a puppy can make even the hardest, toughened soldier melt upon a few kisses to the face."

The story on Sadie is: We were burning our garbage one day and saw some puppies and went to check them out. One pup looked cute so I caught her but she yelped and screamed. Her yelping caused mom, Shelia, to come over. I put the pup down and pet mom so she would see i didn't want to hurt the pup. The pup then came up and stomped her paw on the top of my foot so I picked her back up. The second time she did not yelp or whine or anything she was content to just be held and pet by us. We set the pup down and I started to walk back to our compound and she followed us. We left her with her mom for the night so I could clear it with my bunk mates but they said bring her in. The next day we went back out and brought her "home" with us. We had her in our tent for a couple of weeks but our chain of command found out and we had to put her back. I go see Sadie at least once a day more if i can. She is a great puppy and is 15 weeks old at the oldest. I would like to take her home because we are surrounded by an active mine field and have seen local nationals beat the dog just because they can. She is to cute and good to be stuck with that kind of life, I would like to give her a home that's warm has plenty of food and she never has to worry about getting beaten or blown up.

Because of the dilemmas of transporting animals out of Afghanistan the costs have increased. The Puppy Rescue Mission hopes that this is only a temporary situation and the costs will drop soon. For now we have to fund raise more as The Puppy Rescue Mission is a nonprofit corporation with all funds going to the animals rescue.

Isa Afghan Puppy to be a USA citizen!!!

Survivor and Patience

These two are in need of a Special Family to love them.  If you are that family please contact PRMadopt@gmail.com !
Patience is a treasure. She is loving, malleable, accomodating, grateful, and lots of fun. Always wagging her tail and wanting to be with people. She came to us as a young dog from the streets of kabul with a litter of pups about two years ago. The pups were all adopted but she stayed with us. She has been living in a large yard with about 10 other dogs and gets along well with all of them. She has not been around cats but her personality is very positive and friendly and I would be very surprised if she did not get along with cats. Usually it is the cats who have trouble adjusting to new dogs.

POPTART! She is a Sweet Companion to this Soldier!

THE POPTART STORY

A message from Poptart:

My name is Poptart and I am currently in Afghanistan. I have grown up here on my own for the past three years. About 6 months ago, some US Soldiers found me and have been taking care of me ever since. I spend a lot of time with them and we share a special bond together. Before they came, I would spend my days dodging the Afghans who constantly throw rocks at me. Now the Soldiers protect me and keep the bad guys away. Before, I would pick through piles of trash to get enough scraps to fill me up. Now the Soldiers bring me their leftovers and my belly has been full ever since. Before, I would spend cold winter nights looking for shelter. Now they have made me a dog house and filled it with blankets that keep me warm at night. I am so grateful to them for all they have done for me. They will be leaving in a few months to go back to the US and they would like me to go with them, but I need some help. If you know anyone who could help, I would forever be indebted. They have promised me a warm home and a happy life, if I can only find a way to get there.

Message from the Soldiers:

The day to day life in combat takes its toll on all Soldiers. We are no exception. The best part of every day here in Afghanistan, is knowing we can spend time with Poptart. She is more than a dog, she is a companion and a friend. She has brought joy to our lives and given us something to look forward to each and every day. She is always happy to see us and never leaves our side. It would break our hearts if we had to leave her here in Kabul. We are asking for your help to get her back to the US. Please consider giving a small donation. Your help would save her life and enrich ours.

Isa Afghan Puppy

Isa was found wandering alone in the vicinity of the Isa Khan bridge by an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team. The Isa Khan bridge is a bridge that has been heavily fortified by Taliban militia fighters by IED's in an attempt to keep coalition force aid out of the town of Isa Khan itself. The EOD team was in the area to respond to an IED in the area when she was spotted near the truck by one of the team members and recovered into the truck where she spent the next 2 days eating Meals Ready to Eat (MRE's) and working out of the truck with the team until their return to base. Isa was a quick study in the ways of socializing with people. At first she was food aggressive but that was quickly resolved through a strict hand feeding regimen and her only game that she liked to play was "bite the person" this was resolved through the introduction of toys and appropriate level of play. She now knows "come" and "sit" and is currently learning to walk on a leash. There are a couple of other puppies on base that she periodically socializes with to ensure that she remains friendly to other dogs. Her final destination in the United States will be with me, my wife Cinde, our daughter Maci ( age 20). We live at the base of a mountain in San Diego that has an extensive trail system and are in close proximity to 3 beaches that allow dogs to roam off leash and socialize with other dogs while playing in the ocean.

ALICE: Afghan Dog

This is to help our Canadian Friends:  Sasha's Legacy a Legacy of Love...May Fred & Alice have a safe journey to Canada!

From Fred:
Day 1
This is New Little Dude. She doesn't have a name yet but is my newest friend. She's a little sick, and we're going to get to the bottom of that. But for today, she's just lucky to be alive. A hashed-out NDS (afghani secret police) officer took a shot at her with his pistol, leading to the inevitable confrontation between he and I. Protect the ones who can't protect themselves. She is now my roommate, but needs a forever home. :)

Day 2
Introducing Alice! She was brought to me by Patches, two days before Patches flew out. She's a little sick and I wasnt convinced I had enough time to get her out. But yesterday, a stoned NDS (Afghan secret police) officer took a shot at her. My blood boiled, and after the ensuing confrontation... Alice is my new room mate until I can get her out. Help!

Day 3
Alice and I would like to thank LYNN ROSS for the amazing donation, and hope that Lynn can convince her family that Alice would be the perfect, loving, addition! :)

Day 4
Alice has a message for Sophia- who has given the contents of her piggy bank and more to help!!

Day 5-???
The Future:  Hopefully her arrival in Canada! Stay Tuned and Please help us get her outta here. She deserves a good life. We greatly appreciate any and all donations to help her to Canada. She will travel with Fred in the coming weeks so time is of the essence. THANK YOU!

Of course the motorcycle Vets helped alot...amazing that there are such good guys in the strangest places. Go Fred Go!

BEEFY Afghan Puppy

This is Beefy. She was brought to the shelter in Afghanistan by her soldier when he was headed back to the states. He can only afford $50 a month which he has been sending to the shelter for food. He has begged them not to give her to anyone and has been trying to raise funds for the transport. Beefy has been there 5 months and is growing fast. She needs to be sent to the states quickly before she gets much bigger. We have been asked by the shelter if we could help this Soldier. He did not know organizations like this existed and I think we can make a Soldier VERY HAPPY if we get this Mission done ASAP! So Rally everyone and
Lets BRING HOME BEEFY!!!
Please help us help this soldier bring home Beefy to America,

SPIDERMAN SAM

Because of the nature of this Soldiers work we cannot display any pictures of his puppy or the Soldier BUT when they get stateside we can!  So stay tuned and lets Get them out of Afghanistan soon!

PS:  Spiderman Sam is really a SHE !
From her soldier:
Our pup, Spiderman, or Sam, as we like to call her, has been living with my platoon and me for several weeks now since we found her in Kandahar city in the middle of December. obviously what i do won't let me tell you the details of how we found her but it was clear that in the dead of winter in the city, and at about three or fours weeks old, she wouldn't live on her own, and as she followed us we deduced that there was no mother looking after her. Much to the disbelief of the company, we helped her for those first couple weeks that she should have had a mother, and in the last week she has become much stronger and it is clear that she will survive with our help, but that is only the beginning of our problems. We are leaving to return home in less than a month and i am confident that the troops replacing us will not take care of her, as our leadership has made it clear that she is not allowed. the only options for her were being turned loose on KAF or going home and living a peaceful life in America off the streets of Afghanistan. As for as Sam being in danger, if she is left here and manages to survive on the base, she'll be like every dog in KC looking for scraps and getting rocks thrown at her. I just don't see her making it here without another stroke of luck like she's had with us.

Please help us help this soldier bring home Spiderman Sam to America,
The Land of the Free, Because of the BRAVE!
