SWEET IZZY

IZZY~What a sweet Momma!

This is Izzy, everyone's buddy. When my team first arrived here on base, and the team that had raised Izzy from a pup left, she spent most of her days running around with her buddy Welches and mostly ignored us. But then about a month after we arrived, Welches had to be put down and Izzy became depressed and lonely. After we lost Welches, Izzy spent most of her time lying in the middle of the sidewalk, making people step around, or over her, or walking around like she was lost. After a few weeks though, a small pup, Jojo, snuck under the gate and became the newest addition to the team. It was exactly what Izzy needed. Izzybegan to look after and really take care of Jojo, and it brought her back to the dog she was before. Not long after, she completely warmed up to our team, and is loved by us all. About two months ago, I started calling her to follow me back to my room after lunch and dinner for a treat, and it quickly became that whenever she saw me, regardless of the time, she figured it was snack time and would follow me around. Some nights she'll sleep on the floor of my room, and when it's time to go out, she'll scratch at the door, or come over to my bedside and let me
know she needs to go.

Izzy really is a great dog. We gave her a bath for the first time this spring the other day, and while miserable, never whined, barked, or tried to wiggle out of us holding onto her. She just stood there and
waited for the fiasco to be over with.

I love Izzy, and really want her to find a great home in the states. She is very gentle (and smart) and would be a great addition to someone at home.

Izzy now has the perfect soldier from the platoon that is adopting her: Now you will be going to The Land of the Free, Because of the Brave Sweet Girl!
